I’m hoping I can cover this topic really well as I am one of the sufferers of chain messages.
Many of us have received chain messages at least once in our life time. Very irritating isn’t it.
What are these Chain messages for?
To gain fame, to benefit others.
No ways, anyone would really think of giving benefit to so many people.
I have read through very dumb chain messages, let me share a few.
A random person just sends me an email, saying you have won so many dollars to collect your prize money, kindly send us a reply. Then the drama continues saying, if you need this prize money, you will have to transfer a small amount to our account which will be used as a transaction fee in order to send across the prize money to your account.
My answer, please keep the prize money to yourself.
I have heard of some many people fall into this scam and have lost their savings.

The next type of annoying chain messages are those based on religion.
So the message goes this way, you say this prayer and forward it to so many people, if not your God will punish you.
Seriously, any religion present in this world, never says God will punish you for not forwarding emails. Every religion spreads love and unity; there is no place for hatred. Then why send such wrong messages and force people to get wrong ideas about religion.
Next is the crazy type, so it says, I won so many thousands of dollars as good luck upon forwarding this message. Even if you want to get so many dollars forward this message to 20 people. (oh wait, it doesn’t end there) then there’s a long list saying
If you forward this to zero people, bad luck will follow you.
If you forward this to 5 people, you will have 10 years bad luck.
If you forward this to 10 people, you will have, 4 years bad luck and so on.
You probably will be laughing after reading all this, but trust me many of them get caught so terribly with these messages that they tell themselves who wants bad luck let’s forward to others. Not thinking the person who then receives this same message will be running to the same dilemma.
Sometimes there are messages forwarded, passing a negative comment of some famous personality. This happens generally for public to dislike the person or to ruin their name.
What effect does these chain messages/emails have, trust me, nothing except for self-guilt that what if something bad happens to me as I didn’t forward this message. Even if nothing bad is going to happen, out of excessive thinking the person might get a heart attack.
These messages are just to bully people. It’s like the original sender saying let’s have fun troubling people out there.
Chain messages/email can be anything based from threats to sending viruses.
My advice to everyone is be wise, don’t be fooled by such messages. Act logically, when you get such messages, DO NOT forward them.
